Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the famous American twin-engined, twin-boom fighter in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. The box contains plastic molded in gray and clear, a well-worked cockpit with an instrument panel, a detailed landing gear and decals for marking variants. The characteristic twin-boom silhouette makes the model a striking item for the display case.
The P-38 Lightning was an American fighter with the unconventional layout of two tail booms and a central nacelle holding the cockpit and the armament. It was powered by a pair of Allison V-1710 V12 engines. The P-38L version was the most widespread and most capable variant of the Lightning; it was the first to carry underwing rockets and it was used for fighter work, bomber escort and attacks on ground targets in Europe as well as in the Pacific.
Use thin cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Finish and paint the cockpit before closing the nacelle. Apply primer before varnishing and lay the colors on with an airbrush. For natural metal schemes, metalizer paints over a smooth, polished base work well; fine-tune the stores and rockets only after the base coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
