A resin detail set. It is NOT a model of an aircraft but replacement parts: accurate barrels of the onboard guns in the nose of the nacelle for models of the American Lockheed P-38F and P-38G Lightning fighter in 1:48 scale, in the type A variant. The barrels of the machine guns have suggested lightening holes and open muzzles, and the barrel of the cannon fine detail.
The P-38 Lightning was a twin-engine American fighter with a pair of fuselage booms and concentrated armament in the nose of the central nacelle (12.7 mm machine guns and one cannon). The concentrated armament gave the Lightning great firepower with no need for convergence.
Wash the parts, cut the casting blocks off and replace the plastic barrels out of the kit. They are glued with superglue; paint with an airbrush or a brush in dark metal. Sand resin with respiratory protection.
These are replacement parts, not a model of an aircraft. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
