Rob Taurus 1:48 P-40 N is a vacuum-formed clear canopy for building the American fighter. It is not a model of an aircraft but a refining accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A vacuum-formed (vacuform) clear canopy in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Rob Taurus, intended for the P-40 N version. It replaces the production cockpit canopy with a thinner and optically cleaner part. It is not a model of an aircraft but a detail accessory for a build.
The Curtiss P-40 was an American single-seat fighter of the Second World War. The P-40 N version was among the most numerously built late variants, with a lightened airframe and reworked cockpit glazing for a better view. The machine served with a number of Allied air forces.
The molding is cut out with a sharp knife along the outline, and the edges are sanded and polished. The thin part allows an open cockpit with the interior exposed. It is glued with glue for clear parts; the frames are masked before spraying.
This is a standalone accessory. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
