Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is meant for a plastic model of the American P-47D-25 Thunderbolt fighter. It is not a kit or a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without slow hand-cutting of tape.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt is an American heavy fighter of the Second World War powered by a potent radial engine. The D-25 version brought the bubble canopy, which gave the pilot an all-round view. The Thunderbolt was rugged, stood up well to hits and excelled as an escort fighter and as an attack aircraft against ground targets.
Degrease the glazing of the bubble canopy. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the frame of the windscreen and on the sliding section, pressing them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin layers. The masks for the wheels and hubs separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at an acute angle so as not to disturb the fresh layer.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
