Rob Taurus 1:48 P-51 D is a vacuum-formed clear canopy with the bubble hood for building a Mustang. It is not an aircraft model, but a detail-up accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A vacuum-formed (vacuform) clear canopy in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Rob Taurus. It reproduces the characteristic all-round vision bubble hood of the D version of the Mustang. It replaces the standard canopy with a thinner and optically cleaner part. It is not an aircraft model, but a detail accessory.
The North American P-51 D was the most widespread variant of the famous American Mustang fighter of the Second World War. The cut-down rear fuselage and the bubble hood gave the pilot all-round vision. The Mustang escorted Allied bombers on long-range raids and was among the most successful fighters of the war.
The molding is cut out along the outline with a sharp knife, and the edges are then sanded and polished. The thin bubble hood looks best in the open position with the interior exposed. It is bonded with a glue for clear parts; the windscreen frame is masked before spraying.
This is a stand-alone accessory. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
