A detailed resin set with additional photo-etched parts from Eduard, intended for the superdetailing of the American North American P-51D Mustang fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a model in its own right but an upgrade set of the gun bays in the wings. The set is conceived for the P-51D kit from Eduard.
The set lets you display the wing with the bays of the .50 caliber Browning machine guns open, which form the main armament of the Mustang. Cast resin captures the weapons, the ammunition belts and the internal structure faithfully, while the photo-etch adds the thin elements. Open bays bring a model markedly to life and suit a maintenance or diorama setting.
Separate the resin parts from the casting blocks, wash them free of the mold release agent and degrease them; they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Bend and fix the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue as well. Protect your airways when sanding. Paint the inside of the bays and bring it out with a wash before closing the wing.
This is an accessory set, not an airplane model. It is supplied unpainted; the base kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
