P-51D Mustang (late) 1:48 - a 3D interior decal from Quinta Studio

This is a set of so-called 3D decals: color, three-dimensionally molded parts applied to carrier decal paper. They imitate the instrument panel, the side consoles, the seat and the other elements of the cockpit of the late version of the P-51D Mustang fighter in 1:48 scale. The printed layer is flexible and conforms to the shape of the cockpit. The part is cut from the sheet, soaked for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slid off the paper onto a surface coated with gloss varnish (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22).

Use

• The parts are markedly thicker than classic decals and carry the three-dimensional relief and the color at once; they have no adhesive layer of their own, however.
• Do not use decal softeners or fixers, as the chemicals attack the printed resin; attach the more rigid parts with a small drop of cyanoacrylate glue.
• Multilayer elements (for example the center of the instrument panel) are stacked on one another for a full three-dimensional effect.
• The cut edges of the thicker parts can be touched up with a brush, because the color need not go through the whole thickness.

For modelers who want a richly detailed cockpit without lengthy painting of the individual dials. The set is designed for models of the late version of the P-51D in 1:48 scale.

This is an accessory to a model, not the kit itself. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
