A replacement four-blade propeller for a model of the P-51D Mustang fighter in 1:48 scale. The accessory replaces the kit propeller with a more finely made part.
Responsibility details are not available.
The North American P-51D Mustang is one of the best-known fighters of the Second World War. The D version was given bubble glazing and a cut-down fuselage spine, so the pilot had a view in every direction, and it became famous as an escort fighter for bomber formations. The propeller is visible on a finished model from the front and from the side and, together with the shape of the nose, sets the overall impression of the build.
This is a replacement four-blade propeller for a model of the P-51D in 1:48 scale from the Quickboost line. It serves as a swap for the kit part where a modeler wants a finer shape and sharper blade edges. The exact extent of the parts supplied is given in the manufacturer's description. The part is not polystyrene and cement for plastic models does not hold on it; use super glue.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and carefully sand the remainder level. Wash and degrease the part before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold on the surface. Try the fit dry first, because the axis of the propeller has to line up with the nose of the model. The propeller blades on Mustang models tend to be flat black, and the color of the spinner should be chosen according to the particular machine and its markings.
Paints, glue and thinners are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The extent of the parts supplied is given in the manufacturer's description.
