Eduard photo-etched harness belts in 1:48 scale in the steel version, for a model of the P-51D Mustang fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The North American P-51D Mustang is an American single-seat fighter with long range, recognizable at first glance by its bubble canopy. That canopy is both an advantage and an obligation for a modeler: under the clear part the whole cockpit area is visible, the seat included. Even in good kits the plastic seat tends to be bare or to have the belts only suggested, so a photo-etched part is the quickest way to bring a cockpit to life.
A photo-etched fret in 1:48 scale with harness belts and their fittings. According to the name this is the steel version, not the usual brass. Steel remembers a bend better: a belt thrown over the edge of a seat, or an end hanging freely, stays exactly in the position you shape it into. The list of the parts and their position is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the parts off with a sharp blade a little away from the shape and sand the remains of the tab level. Shape them with flat-jawed tweezers or over a straight edge; steel calls for more pressure and does not like repeated straightening, so make the bend right the first time. It is glued with super glue applied drop by drop from a toothpick. If you are going to paint the belts, degrease the part and use a primer meant for metal.
For a modeler who is building the Mustang in 1:48 scale and wants the cockpit under the clear canopy to stand up to a close look. The package contains a photo-etched fret as listed by the manufacturer; the paints and the glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
