A set of resin antennas for the American Northrop P-61 Black Widow night fighter in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part that replaces the coarser or missing antennas from the base kit, not a stand-alone airplane model.
The Northrop P-61 Black Widow was an American twin-engine twin-boom night fighter of the Second World War and the first American aircraft designed from the outset for night combat with an onboard radar. It was powered by a pair of Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engines. Its equipment included several external antennas for the radio and radar gear.
Resin parts need more careful work than plastic: first wash the mold release residue off them, carefully separate them from the casting block (the sprue gate) and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways while sanding and cutting small parts. Apply a primer before painting. The antennas are thin and fragile, so separate them especially carefully and glue them on at the very end of the build so that they are not damaged while the model is handled.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
