The Percival Proctor Mk.III 1:48 from Dora Wings is an injection-molded plastic kit of the British liaison and radio training aircraft of the Second World War period.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from the manufacturer Dora Wings captures the British Percival Proctor Mk.III light aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is a well-made short-run model with a fine engraved surface and clear parts for the cabin. The kit offers decals for several color schemes of various users.
The Proctor came out of the prewar civilian Vega Gull aircraft and served from the start of the war as a liaison machine and a radio training aircraft. The Mk.III version was a three-seat radio trainer for training radio operators; several hundred of them were built in all. It lasted in service in various roles until the 1950s.
As with short-run models, plan for a little cleaning up of the mating faces and a dry test fit of the parts before gluing. The cabin is made up of several clear parts that call for patient fitting, sanding and, if needed, filling of the transitions. Use a thin cement for plastic, a thin putty on the fuselage joints, and bring the surface together with a filler primer before spraying.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
