The external stores set 1:48 Python 5 (3D-Printed) from Eduard brings Israeli short-range air-to-air missiles produced by three-dimensional printing.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package contains four air-to-air missiles for Israeli combat aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory to the armament, not an airplane model. The missiles were created by layer printing without a mold, which can manage crisp leading edges on the fins as well as small detail on the body, and according to the manufacturer the package also encloses resin parts and a decal sheet with markings.
The Python 5 is an Israeli short-range guided missile with imaging infrared homing. Its strength is the ability to lock onto a target well off the axis of flight, so the pilot does not have to turn the aircraft directly behind an opponent. The missile entered service in the middle of the last decade and is carried by a whole range of machines operated by the Israeli Air Force and by other users.
Separate the missiles from their supports with a razor saw and sand the faces. Apply the primer in a thin coat, or the fine detail would be lost. The body is usually kept in a light shade, and the seeker head and the colored bands can then be done either by masking or with the enclosed decals; the second route is surer and keeps a crisp edge. Before applying decals, varnish the surface with a gloss coat and unify it with a flat one once dry. Test the pylons under the wing dry in advance, so that the missile sits parallel with the axis of the fuselage.
Paints, glue and pylons are not enclosed with the set.
