An injection-molded plastic kit of the Polish light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft of the 1930s in 1:48 scale from Mirage Hobby. According to the manufacturer the box allows you to build the I and II versions (variants A and B of the real aircraft). The model has an engraved surface texture and a detailed interior. It is a classic subject of Polish interwar aviation.
The PZL-23 Karas was a Polish single-engine light bomber and observation aircraft. The prototype flew in 1934 and the machine became one of the main combat aircraft of the Polish Air Force at the beginning of the Second World War. The Karas was a low-wing aircraft of mixed construction with fixed landing gear and a characteristic gondola under the fuselage for the lower gunner and the bomb load. In September 1939 it bore the main weight of Polish offensive operations.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Finish and paint the cockpit interior and the lower gondola before you close the fuselage, and mask the glazing. Apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush. Good acrylic or enamel paints suit the Polish interwar camouflage (the typical khaki); the panel lines come out with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
