Eduard Brassin 1:48 R-77 / AA-12 Adder is a resin set of modern Russian air-to-air guided missiles with pylons. It is an armament accessory for models of fighters rather than a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard brings, in 1:48 scale, resin medium-range air-to-air guided missiles R-77 (AA-12 Adder in the NATO code) with underwing pylons. It is not an aircraft kit but an armament detail set with which you complete the armament of a model of a modern Russian fighter, for example the MiG-29 or a Su type. The package usually contains castings of the missile bodies, sets of fins, the characteristic lattice tail control surfaces and the pylons, complemented by decals for the markings.
The R-77 is an active radar-guided medium-range missile, the Russian counterpart of the American AMRAAM. Its lattice tail control surfaces are the identifying feature that makes it recognizable on a pylon at a glance.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut away the casting blocks and sand the surfaces lightly with respiratory protection. The fine lattice control surfaces call for careful separation. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue and finish the painting of the missiles according to the decal markings.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin detail set. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
