With this set the markings are not applied but sprayed. The self-adhesive template from MH models is laid on a finished coat of varnish, paint is applied through the cut-out and once it is removed the insignia is left with a sharp edge and without carrier film. The difference shows mainly on machines that are meant to look used, because sprayed markings can be sanded, matted and weathered without risk. The set is cut for a particular Re.2005 kit in 1:48 scale, so please check the match with your model. The exact contents of the sheet are stated on the box.
The Reggiane Re.2005 Sagittario was an Italian single-engine fighter from the end of the company's line of development. Compared with the earlier types with radial engines it received a liquid-cooled V engine, and with it an elongated nose, a slender fuselage and an elegant outline that earned it the reputation of one of the handsomest Italian fighters. Only a small number were built, which in modeling makes it more of a specialty than an ordinary build.
The surface must be smooth and cured, as otherwise paint will run under the edge. Press the mask down mainly around the perimeter of the cut-out and spray perpendicularly in thin coats. With insignia that combine several colors, go from light to dark and let the paint dry between layers. Take the template off while the paint is still fresh, slowly and at an acute angle.
This is a modeling accessory, not a model of the aircraft. The kit and the paints are not included in the package.
