A resin detail set of landing gears for a model of the supersonic strategic bomber B-1 B Lancer in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit of the aircraft; the set replaces the gear legs of a plastic model, that is the parts which on a large and heavy model carry the whole weight and at the same time are among the most complicatedly shaped parts of the airframe. The Rockwell B-1 B Lancer is an American four-engine strategic bomber with a variable-geometry wing. Unlike the original high-speed project it was brought into service in the middle of the nineteen-eighties as a machine for penetration at low level and high subsonic speeds, with a radar signature reduced by its shaping. Its dimensions and weight make it one of the largest combat aircraft of its generation, and in 1:48 scale a correspondingly large model arises, with which a firm and accurately shaped landing gear pays off twice over.
