A set of German SC250 aerial bombs from the Second World War as an accessory to a plastic aircraft kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The SC250 was the most common German aerial bomb of the Second World War, a thin-walled high-explosive bomb in the 250-kilogram weight class. Bombers and fighter-bombers alike carried it and it turns up on practically every photograph of their loads. The shape is easy to recognize: a cylindrical body with a conical tail, a ring at the tail surfaces and a fuze in the side of the body. Details like these are what turn an aircraft model into a scene, because a bomb under the wing reveals what the machine was ready for at that moment.
An accessory to a plastic kit for modelers for whom the kit ordnance is not enough in shape or in number. The bombs go onto the racks and pylons only at the end of the build, when the model is painted and will stand handling. The exact placement and the identification of the parts are given in the manufacturer's instructions; follow them when choosing the order of work as well.
Dry-fit the parts first and only then glue them. Cut excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down with fine abrasive paper. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Choose the glue according to the material: on anything other than polystyrene ordinary polystyrene cement is unsuitable and super glue serves better. Paint the bombs before you fit them; on a finished model a brush will barely reach them.
The aircraft kit, paints, glue and decals are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
