An accessory set in 1:48 scale for a model of the German tank destroyer Sd.Kfz.164 Nashorn, intended by its name for the kit from the Tamiya brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Nashorn was a German tank destroyer of the Second World War that came about by joining two things which otherwise did not belong together: a very powerful anti-tank gun of 88 millimeter caliber and a chassis assembled from the parts of medium tanks. The fighting compartment stayed open at the top and the armor was thin, so the vehicle held its own only where it could shoot at long range and change position in time. In exactly that, though, it was extraordinarily effective, and it served until the end of the war. The vehicle carried the designation Sd.Kfz.164 and at first a different name too, which was later changed to Nashorn.
This is an accessory to a model in 1:48 scale, not a stand-alone kit. The qualifier in the name states whose kit the set is cut for, so the parts should fit it without modification. What exactly the package contains, and which places on the model the parts go to, is given by the manufacturer's instructions.
Before gluing, wash and degrease the parts; on a greasy surface neither glue nor paint holds. Cut the excess material off a little way from the part with a sharp blade and carefully sand the remainder, so that a piece of the part itself does not break away. The recommended glue is given by the manufacturer's instructions. Always try the fit dry and only then glue, because with an open fighting compartment you can see inside and a mistake cannot be hidden.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
