Eduard 1:48 Seatbelts Luftwaffe WWII Bombers is a color photo-etched set of seat belts for the cockpits of German bombers of the Second World War. It is a detail accessory, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard brings color photo-etched seat belts for the crews of German bombers of the Second World War. It is not an aircraft kit, but a detail accessory meant to improve the interior of the cockpit. The parts are pre-printed in several color layers, so they imitate the fabric straps and the metal buckles faithfully with no painting needed.
Kit belts tend to be flat, simplified or missing altogether. Color photo-etch replaces them with fine straps that can be shaped in three dimensions and that catch the eye at once in an open cockpit. The pattern of the belts follows the standard of the German bomber force, so it suits a wide range of models of German bombers of that period.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife on a cutting surface. The straps shape well, so let the belts drape naturally over the edges of the seat. Pre-printed belts do not have to be painted; if you want, you can emphasize them gently with a dark wash or knock the sheen back a little. Color photo-etched belts are usually self-adhesive, or they can be fixed with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue.
This is a photo-etched detail accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
