Photo-etched steel seat belts for the cockpits of American naval fighters of the Second World War in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Seat belts are among the first places a viewer looks at in a fighter cockpit. The set is aimed at American naval fighters of the Second World War, that is machines whose seat is clearly visible under an open canopy. The belts in a kit are usually only suggested, and a flat plastic part gives itself away at a glance.
Photo-etched seat belts in 1:48 scale. According to the name it is the steel version, which is stiffer than softer photo-etch and holds a bend better, so a belt can be draped convincingly over the edge of the seat. The exact scope of the fret, the number of sets and the drawings of the individual parts are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface close to the tab and sand the remains of the tab with fine sandpaper. Make the bends slowly, ideally with a bending tool or over a straight edge, so that the belt does not end up creased at a sharp angle. Degrease the surface before gluing and use super glue in a really small amount, applied with the tip of a toothpick. The clasps and buckles benefit from a final touch of a dark wash that settles into the cutouts.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
