Pre-cut templates for spraying the cockpit glazing of the SEPECAT Jaguar A ground-attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. The package carries a pair of films, one covering the framing as seen from outside, the other seating on the inner face of the panes. The shapes come from the mold by the brand Kitty Hawk. The line the set belongs to is limited to the glazing and you will not find masks for the national insignia in it.

The Jaguar came out of a joint program in which Britain and France were looking for a supersonic trainer and which in the end grew into a full tactical attack aircraft. The version marked with the letter A is the single-seat strike variant of the French Air Force. The machine had a high-set wing with extensive high-lift devices, a pair of Adour engines and landing gear built for rough field strips. It was that toughness which earned it the reputation of an aircraft that comes back even with holes from gunfire. French squadrons intervened with it over Chad, Mauritania and in the Persian Gulf, and its service ended only in 2005. The single-seat cockpit has a low canopy with a fixed windscreen and a prominent rear cover, so the framing is among the first things that draw the eye on a model.
The cockpit of a modern attack aircraft tends to be visible from both sides on a model. The inner film covers the panes at the moment when the interior and the canopy frame are sprayed in the inner shade, while the outer template comes in only with the camouflage finish of the upper surfaces. When both layers are peeled off together at the end of the build, the edge of the frame comes out sharp from both views and nowhere is a trace left from taping over with office paper. The film holds with a weak adhesive that can be reapplied a second time without consequences.
