A fine photo-etched detail set in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard, aimed at the interior. This is not a helicopter kit but an accessory made of thin etched metal parts (most often brass), with which you refine and fill out the detail of the cabin and interior on a plastic model of the SH-60B Seahawk shipborne helicopter, detail that cannot be molded in plastic at a matching fineness. The set is meant for more experienced modelers.
The Sikorsky SH-60B Seahawk is an American shipborne multirole navy helicopter derived from the UH-60 Black Hawk. Within the LAMPS III system it serves from the decks of surface ships for anti-submarine and anti-surface work, for reconnaissance and for rescue duties. Its folding main rotor and folding tail for operation from a confined ship's deck are characteristic.
Nip the photo-etched parts carefully out of the fret and clean up the tags. Bend them over a sharp edge (a photo-etch bending tool proves its worth) and join them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Fit and paint the interior parts before the cabin is closed up; the faces pre-printed in color are only varnished with care.
This is a photo-etched accessory, not a helicopter kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
