A sheep in 1:48 scale, an accessory for dioramas and scenes with a rural setting. A figure that gives a scene scale and calm.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheep in 1:48 scale, that is, in the scale known as forty-eighth, in which aircraft and some hardware models are built. The figure is an accessory for a diorama, so it belongs in a scene rather than in a display case of stand-alone figures. Other farm animals are issued in the same series, some of them in several scales, so a scene can be extended step by step while keeping a consistent character.
A farm animal says more about a place than another human figure does. A pasture, a field margin by a track, a pen behind a building or a grassy slope gain from a sheep a calm and ordinariness that suit a scene with hardware well as a counterweight. A flock can be put together from several pieces, and because sheep in nature stand loosely and turned every which way, even a simple arrangement looks convincing. At the same time the viewer reads the scale of the whole scene from such a figure, because he knows the size of the animal.
The material of the part and the recommended procedure are given on the packaging and in the manufacturer's instructions, so choose the glue accordingly: cyanoacrylate belongs on resin and on metal, solvent cement for plastic models on polystyrene. Wash and degrease the figure before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold. The fleece stands out with a simple procedure: a cream base, a thin gray-brown coat drawn into the recesses and finally a dry brush, which picks out the tops of the curls. Leave the head and the legs markedly darker than the fleece; that contrast does the most work on a sheep. Carry the shade of the terrain onto the lower part of the legs, so that the animal visually belongs to the base.
A base, terrain, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
