A shopping cart in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Brengun is a small diorama accessory for a civilian scene; it is not a model of its own but something you add to what you already have built.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is miniature scene equipment in 1:48 scale, that is a prop rather than a kit. A shopping cart is one of those elements that immediately tells a viewer where a diorama is set: by a shop, in a parking lot, in the support area of an airfield or in an improvised store. It is made by Brengun of the Czech Republic, which specializes in small accessories for modelers.
Props work best when they are not put on display. A cart parked by a wall, tipped over at a curb or loaded with crates looks more natural than the same cart stood in the middle of a base. At the same time, in 1:48 scale it is big enough to read clearly in a photograph and yet does not overpower the main model. It is exactly such small things that make the difference between a model on display and a scene a viewer believes.
The parts are small, so prepare a light surface, sharp tweezers and a scalpel with a new blade in advance: on a dark table a dropped part is hunted for in vain. It is assembled in stages and glued with thin super glue applied with a pin; an excess of glue shows at once on small parts. It is rewarding to spray the basket of the cart separately before gluing, so that the paint gets inside too. For a metal look, a primer, a silvery shade and finally a fine dark wash to bring out the structure all work well.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
