This 3D printed resin set from the manufacturer Art Scale contains two SJU-17 ejection seats for detailing the cockpit of a two-seat EA-18G Growler model in 1:48 scale. Both seats are executed in the variant with molded safety belts as part of the structure. 3D printing ensures exceptional crispness and fineness of detail. This is not an aircraft kit but a detail set which replaces the seats from the box.
The EA-18G Growler is a two-seat electronic warfare machine derived from the Super Hornet. Two Martin-Baker SJU-17 (NACES) seats are fitted in the cockpit; their faithful execution is among the details that most influence the realism of an open cockpit.
Clean the parts of the 3D printing supports and tidy them up. Glue with super glue. Paint the seats a dark color and pick out the belts and the handles of the ejection system differently; the details will stand out with a fine wash and drybrushing, and small placards can be added with a decal.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
