A detail cockpit set for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX fighter in 1:48 scale from Aires. The resin accessory replaces the basic interior of a plastic kit with a faithfully detailed cockpit: a cockpit tub with its tube frame structure, an instrument panel, side consoles, a seat and the controls.
The Spitfire Mk. IX was a British single-engine fighter of the Second World War. It arose as an answer to the new German fighters and combined the proven Spitfire airframe with the more powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin 60 series engine. It was among the most successful versions of this famous aircraft.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond with super glue. Protect your airways while sanding. The interior comes into its own once painted and the details picked out gently with a wash.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
