This is not an airplane kit but a Big Sin combined set of add-ons from Eduard for the plastic model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb in 1:48 scale. It brings together in one package several sets that are also sold separately. The ADVANCED level aims at more extensive open sections of the model than the basic version.
The set concentrates on the engine, the gun bays and the landing flaps. Resin castings and photo-etched elements make it possible to display the powerplant and the inside of the wing uncovered, which turns the model into a striking display piece. The exact make-up follows the manufacturer's catalog.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). An exposed engine calls for careful painting and a fine wash to bring out the detail. Bend the photo-etched flaps over a metal edge. Check the fit dry before gluing.
This is an add-on set, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
