This accessory conversion set holds cast resin parts with which to convert a plastic Spitfire model into the high-altitude Mk VII version in 1:48 scale. The set is intended for models of the Spitfire Mk VIII and IX. It is not a complete kit but a conversion accessory. It is made by the Czech brand Brengun.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk VII was a high-altitude fighter with a pressurized cockpit, extended wingtips and a four-blade propeller, intended for combat at great height. It differed from the ordinary versions in exactly these features.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and clean the surfaces up with respiratory protection. Before gluing, check the fit on the plastic and fill any gaps. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
This is a conversion accessory, not a complete model. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
