Colored printed cockpit elements for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I in 1:48 scale, prepared for the Eduard kit. The part is dipped briefly in lukewarm water and slid off the backing paper.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I was the first production form of the British fighter with its distinctive elliptical wing. It was powered by a liquid-cooled Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 and its armament consisted of machine guns housed in the wings. It was machines of this version that carried the main burden of the fighting in the summer and autumn of 1940.
Colored elements of the cockpit made by 3D printing and carried on backing decal paper. The elements have raised relief and finished coloring, so that once applied the instrument panel, the side consoles and the harness look thoroughly worked without picking out small details with a brush. The set is prepared for the Spitfire Mk.I kit from the manufacturer Eduard.
The elements have no adhesive layer of their own. The piece cut out is soaked in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slid off the backing decal paper into place, where it holds best on gloss varnish laid down beforehand. Do not use a decal softener or a decal setter, as they would attack the printed resin.
The package holds the colored cockpit elements. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
