Spitfire Mk.IXc late Weekend edition 1:48 (Eduard) is a plastic kit of the famous British Second World War fighter in the simplified Weekend edition from the Czech manufacturer.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit in 1:48 scale captures the British Supermarine Spitfire fighter in the Mk.IXc version in its late form. It is the Weekend edition from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, that is good injection-molded plastic without photo-etch and masks, with a single decal sheet. The Weekend edition is based on the same modern mold as the premium editions, but with simpler contents in the box.
The Spitfire Mk.IX was created as an answer to the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighters and combined the proven Spitfire airframe with a more powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin engine with a two-stage supercharger. The Mk.IXc version had the universal c wing and in its late form carried a number of period details. It was among the most successful and most widespread Allied fighters of the Second World War.
Use thin modeling cement for plastic and sand and polish the joints, because of the glossy surfaces. An airbrush, a good primer and a gloss coat under the decals all pay off. British camouflage calls for a clean boundary between the colors; a gentle panel wash suits the weathering. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
