A resin conversion set that makes it possible to rebuild a model of the Supermarine Spitfire fighter in 1:48 scale into the PR Mk XI photo-reconnaissance version. It is a detail accessory for a base kit, not a stand-alone model. The set holds the parts needed to rework the nose and the other areas characteristic of the reconnaissance variant.
The Spitfire PR Mk XI was an unarmed photo-reconnaissance aircraft of the Second World War derived from the fighter Spitfires with the Merlin engine. It was marked by a deepened nose for an enlarged fuel tank, clean wings with no armament and the installation of photographic equipment for reconnaissance from great heights.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. Sand the transitions to the plastic parts carefully with respiratory protection and check the fit on the particular kit before gluing.
This is a resin conversion accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
