A set of cockpit safety belts in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Art Scale, from the ASK line. These are 3D printed decals: flexible belts with a raised relief and a colored finish, printed on the carrier film of a waterslide decal. They are applied like a decal, adapt to the shape of the seat and faithfully imitate fabric belts with their fittings. The set is intended to bring the cockpit of a Supermarine Spitfire fighter model to life.
The Supermarine Spitfire is the legendary British fighter of the Second World War, famous for its elegant elliptical wing and outstanding handling. It served throughout the war in many versions and on every front. The safety belts of the pilot's seat are a small detail which, with an open cockpit, markedly raises the realism of a finished model.
Prepare the seat and the area under the decal smooth and degreased. Float the decal off in water, settle it on the seat and adapt it to its shape with decal softener, so that the belts adhere perfectly. Once dry, the surface can be unified with matte clear coat. Application is quick and calls for neither photo-etched parts nor hand painting.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
