Resin (3D printed) engine exhaust nozzles for the Su-27 Flanker fighter in 1:48 scale. An accessory for the Great Wall Hobby kit, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed pair of engine exhaust nozzles produced by direct 3D printing in resin from Reskit, intended for a model of the Soviet and Russian Su-27 Flanker fighter in 1:48 scale. It is a resin replacement for the tail end of the fuselage for more experienced modelers, not a standalone model of an aircraft. The set replaces the simplified plastic nozzles from the box with faithfully rendered parts.
The Su-27 Flanker was powered by a pair of Saturn AL-31F jet engines. The open exhaust nozzles with their pronounced segmentation and cooling petals are among the most prominent visual features of the rear end of the heavy fighter, so rendering them faithfully benefits a model considerably.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The inside of the nozzles comes alive with layers of metallic and heat-stained shades and a fine wash.
This is a resin accessory. The base model of the aircraft, glue and paints are not included in the package.
