This is a modeling accessory, not a model of the aircraft: a set of pre-cut masks of kabuki tape for building the Su-57 in 1:48. The manufacturer New Ware grades its sets; the EXPERT designation means a wider scope than the BASIC level, which is also on offer for the same aircraft. Kabuki tape is thin and pliable, it follows the curves of a canopy and leaves no adhesive behind when removed.
The Su-57 is a Russian twin-engine fifth-generation combat aircraft. In design terms it is a machine with internal weapons bays, fuselage shaping with reduced radar reflectivity and flat transitions between the fuselage and the lifting surfaces. For a modeler that means plenty of straight edges and faceted surfaces; camouflage schemes on this type tend to be complex and accurate masking shows in the result.
Degrease the surface before sticking the masks down and let it dry out thoroughly; press the mask down with a toothpick all the way round. Spray in thin coats, otherwise the paint tears at the edge when peeled. Take the masks off while the paint has only just dried, with tweezers and at a sharp angle. With a wider set, work in groups: the canopy first, the rest once that has dried, and before the final varnish check that you have not forgotten any small piece.
This is an accessory, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
