Su-9 / Su-11 (Fishpot) turned pitot tubes and missile rail heads 1:48 replace the plastic parts from a kit with more faithful metal parts with sharper geometry.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is not a model of an aircraft but a metal detail accessory for a kit of the Soviet Su-9 or Su-11 interceptor in 1:48 scale. It contains turned pitot tubes and missile rail heads. Turned metal offers a more accurate shape and above all greater strength than thin and brittle plastic parts.
The Su-9 and its developed variant the Su-11 were Soviet single-engine delta-winged interceptors of the late 1950s and the 1960s. They were conceived as missile-armed interceptors without gun armament, intended to destroy high-flying targets, and were guided by a ground-controlled interception system.
You cut off the plastic parts and replace them with the metal ones, ideally into pre-drilled holes. Glue with cyanoacrylate. Fit the long forward pitot tube at the end of the build so that it does not get bent during handling. Degrease the metal before painting and lay the paint on in a thin coat.
The accessory needs a base kit; glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
