This set from the maker Quinta Studio is a full color 3D interior decal on decal paper. The instrument panel, the side consoles, the seat and other cockpit elements are pre-printed in faithful colors and have fine three-dimensional relief, so the slow business of painting and photo-etch work falls away. It is intended for models of the reconnaissance versions MiG-25 RB and RBT in 1:72 scale.
The elements are separated and applied as wet decals: the piece is dipped in water and slid into place. The relief printing creates the impression of three-dimensionally shaped instruments, and the result looks faithful even under close inspection. The set takes care of the color and the texture of the interior; the plastic parts of the cockpit come from the original kit.
Degrease the surface, settle the decal onto a damp, smooth base and press it down with a soft brush. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as it will attack the printed resin and ruin the element. Once dry, you can even the whole thing out with a thin coat of matte or semi-gloss varnish.
This is a modeling accessory, not a kit on its own. The plastic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
