This is a self-adhesive masking set from the brand Kits-World in 1:48 scale. The templates are cut to fit a model of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I fighter and cover the wheels and the canopy from the outside. It is not a kit but an accessory for painting.

The real subject

The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I was the first production version of this legendary British fighter. With its elliptical wing and its good agility it proved itself in the Battle of Britain and became one of the symbols of British defense at the beginning of the Second World War.

What the mask is for, and tips

The templates cover the canopy frames from the outside and the wheels exactly, so that spraying leaves sharp transitions without work by hand. The inner side of the clear parts is not masked in this version. Degrease the clear parts, press the mask down against the edges of the frames and spray in thin coats; lift it shortly after it dries.
