Markings in 1:48 scale for the supersonic trainer Northrop T-38C Talon from the Wolfpack brand. The contents of the package are decals; a model of the aircraft itself is sold separately.
The Talon is a slender twin-engine trainer with cockpits in tandem that entered service at the start of the 1960s and became the first series-produced supersonic trainer of its kind. Small wings and a pair of jet engines make it an aircraft that forgives little and prepares a student for the behavior of combat types. The form with the letter C is the result of an extensive upgrade: displays and new navigation equipment went into both cockpits, so that training would match the hardware a pilot moves on to after graduating.
Trainers usually have smooth, uniform surfaces, and on them every unevenness under the markings shows. Polish the surface to a high gloss, then, and work with plenty of water so that the feature can be slid across the surface into an exact position. Lay long legends along the fuselage in one go and keep checking their straightness against the panel lines. Once dry, remove the remaining water and seal the surface with a thin coat of varnish.
