Tempest Mk.II gun bays 1:48 is a resin accessory set from Eduard for making the armament bays in the wings of Tempest models more accurate and opening them up.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin accessory set from the Brassin line, not a kit of an aircraft. It holds parts for a true rendering of the gun bays in the wings of models of the Hawker Tempest Mk.II fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale, including the possibility of presenting them open with the installation of the cannons uncovered. Photo-etched parts usually come with the set as well.
The Tempest Mk.II was the fighter and fighter-bomber version with the radial Bristol Centaurus engine and an armament of four 20 mm Hispano cannons housed in the wings. Uncovered gun bays are a rewarding feature for a diorama as well as for a collector's display case.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut the casting blocks away and clean them up. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), and bend the photo-etched parts over an edge. Bring the inside of the bays out with a wash and a dry brush. Protect your breathing while sanding resin.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and meant for further work. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
