Tornado IDS in 1:48: color equipment for both cabins from a decal sheet. Quinta Studio, according to the name also with resin parts. For a model of an aircraft with variable wing geometry. Intended for the Italeri kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The equipment of both cabins is supplied by color print on decal backing paper together with the resin parts that the name of the set mentions. The elements are seated on the plastic moldings and save long hours of painting instruments, of which the tandem cockpit of this machine has a fair supply. The target kit is Italeri.
The aircraft came out of a joint British, West German and Italian program and first took to the air in August 1974. It carried a pair of RB199 engines and a wing with variable sweep, thanks to which it managed both a slow approach and a fast run-in at ground level. The basic IDS version was built precisely for attack from low altitude in any weather, which the terrain-following radar served. The crew consisted of a pilot and a navigator responsible for the weapon systems.
Prepare the base smooth and free of dust. Separate the pieces only just before application, otherwise the edges will curl. Move them into place with a wet brush, align them and let them dry undisturbed, best of all overnight. Do not use a decal softener, as it would attack the printed resin. Only then continue with the assembly of the cabin, so that nothing shifts. Paint in the remaining surrounding areas with a brush according to your own documentation.
This is an accessory for the build. The plastic model of the Tornado is ordered separately.
