A resin control lever for the Tornado IDS in 1:48 scale from Quickboost — a precise detail accessory for the cockpit; it is not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail part from Quickboost — a finely cast control lever for the cockpit of the Panavia Tornado IDS combat aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model, but a replacement part for more experienced modelers that, in a well-worked cockpit, replaces the coarser plastic component from the kit with a crisp casting with a faithful shape. A small but visually prominent element of the cockpit.
The Tornado IDS was a two-seat supersonic aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, developed in cooperation between several European countries and deployed above all for strikes on ground targets at low altitude. The controls in its cockpit are among the details that are clearly visible with the canopy open; in plastic they tend to be thick-walled. The resin replacement looks more slender. The part is meant to refine an existing Tornado model in the same scale.
First wash the resin part in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release residue from the mold. Cut the casting block off with a sharp knife or a fine saw and clean up the surface; protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue, because ordinary cement for plastic will not hold on resin. Paint the part according to period photographs of the cockpit.
It is supplied as an unpainted resin accessory for completing a model. Glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
