A small resin set of pitot tubes for the Panavia Tornado IDS in 1:48 scale. This is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a kit that replaces the simpler parts with a crisper and more faithful detail.
The Panavia Tornado IDS was a European combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, developed in cooperation between several states. The IDS version was intended for strike duties and low-level penetration. The pitot tube on the nose senses air pressure to measure the speed and is a conspicuous detail of the airframe.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Handle the slender tubes with care. We recommend a filler primer before painting, and protect your airways while sanding.
This is an accessory for a kit. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
