A photo-etched detail set in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It holds fine metal parts for sharpening the plastic kit of the twin-engine utility helicopter Bell UH-1N Twin Huey. It is an accessory, not a model of the helicopter in its own right; the contents follow the instructions in the package.
The Bell UH-1N Twin Huey is the twin-engine version of the famous Huey family of helicopters. Compared with its single-engine predecessors it brought higher safety and performance thanks to a coupled twin turboshaft power plant. The helicopter served in many roles, from carrying troops and supplies through rescue work to liaison and support flights, with the armed forces and with the Coast Guard alike.
The parts are cut out of the fret, bent along the engraved lines and glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The photo-etched elements usually sharpen the cockpit, the instrument panels, the cabin interior and other fine details. Degrease the surfaces before gluing and paint with an airbrush for a uniform surface.
This is an accessory, not a model of the helicopter. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
