About product

UH-1Y Venom painting masks 1:48 (Eduard)

This is not a kit, but a set of painting (masking) masks from Eduard in 1:48 scale. The masks are precisely die-cut from yellow kabuki paper (Japanese masking paper) and are self-adhesive. They are used for clean spraying of the cockpit glazing, the windows and other features of the UH-1Y Venom utility helicopter. On a helicopter the masks come into their own above all on the extensive cockpit glazing. The model itself is bought separately and is not included in the package.

The real subject

The Bell UH-1Y Venom is an American twin-engine utility helicopter, a modern branch of the famous Huey family. It serves with the US Marine Corps for transport, liaison and fire support.

Use

  • Lay the mask on the appropriate place on the model and mask off the surrounding area.
  • Spray the paint over the mask; peeling it off leaves sharp transitions.
  • Particularly suitable for the canopy frames and for the wheels.
  • It is applied over a dried primer coat on the model.

Who the set is for

  • For modelers building the UH-1Y Venom helicopter in 1:48 scale.
  • For anyone after clean masking without laborious cutting from tape.
  • For intermediate and experienced modelers.

This is an accessory (a masking set), not a model. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
