About product

US Navy wheel chocks, 1:48, Special Hobby

A resin set of the wheel chocks used with US Navy aircraft, for instance on the decks of aircraft carriers. It is not a model but an accessory for dioramas and for aircraft. The chocks have a modern shape and are universal, just like the real articles, so you will use them with a range of postwar and current US Navy machines.

Use

  • Wash the parts free of mold release agent and cut them off the casting blocks.
  • The chocks can be placed loose under the wheels of an aircraft or fixed with cyanoacrylate glue.
  • Suitable for scenes with a parked or secured aircraft on a diorama.

Who the set is for

  • For builders of aircraft dioramas and deck scenes.
  • For modelers who want to add ground equipment around an aircraft.

The accessory is supplied unpainted; the paints and the model are not included in the package.

FAQ

They are placed under the wheels of a parked aircraft so that it cannot roll away. On a model they bring a deck or airfield scene to life.

Yes, modern chocks are universal just as they are in reality, so you will use them with a range of US Navy aircraft in 1:48.

It is not. This is a resin scenic accessory, not an aircraft kit.
