Injection-molded plastic kit of the Northrop T-38C Talon jet trainer in NASA colors, in 1:48 scale from Trumpeter. The model has finely engraved panel lines, detailed tandem cockpits, multi-part landing gear bays, a clear cockpit canopy and photo-etched parts for fine detail. The NASA finish makes it a striking aircraft with a bold paint scheme.
The T-38 Talon was the first supersonic trainer in the world and at the same time the most widely built aircraft of its kind. The slim twin-engine machine served for decades in pilot training, and in aircraft on loan from the US Air Force the American space agency NASA uses it to keep astronauts current and for chase flights. The T-38C version received upgraded avionics and cockpit equipment.
Finish and paint the tandem cockpits before you close up the fuselage; photo-etched seat belts will bring the interior to life. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and mask the cockpit canopy. Apply the bold NASA colors with an airbrush over a primer coat on a smooth gloss base, which also makes the decals easier to put on.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
