Injection-molded plastic kit USAAF B-25B Mitchell Battle of Midway 80th Anniversary in 1:48 scale from Academy.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American twin-engine medium bomber B-25B Mitchell in 1:48 scale from Academy. The anniversary boxing commemorates the famous Doolittle Raid and, according to the manufacturer, it contains a detailed cockpit, landing gear, engraved panel lines and a masking film for the glazing. The assembled model is about 34 cm long.
The North American B-25 Mitchell was an American twin-engine medium bomber of the Second World War. The B-25B version wrote itself into history with the Doolittle Raid of 18 April 1942, when sixteen of these machines took off from the deck of the aircraft carrier USS Hornet and attacked the Japanese home islands, Tokyo among them. It was the first American reprisal for Pearl Harbor and it lifted Allied morale considerably.
Use thin cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Finish and paint the glazed nose and the cockpit before the fuselage is closed up; the masks supplied make clean glazing easier. Apply a primer before painting and spray the paints with an airbrush. On bare metal surfaces metalizer paints over a smooth base work well, elsewhere discreet wear is enough.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
