Walrus Mk.I 1:48 - a photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for refining the model of the British Supermarine Walrus Mk.I amphibian.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set from Eduard in 1:48 scale meant for refining the plastic model of the British Supermarine Walrus Mk.I amphibian. The photo-etched parts raise the level of detail of the base kit; it is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory.
The Supermarine Walrus was a British amphibious biplane with a pusher propeller, used during the Second World War for reconnaissance from ships and above all for rescuing downed airmen at sea. Its boat-shaped hull and folding wings allowed it to operate from the water and from the decks of warships by catapult. The rugged machine earned the respect of crews as a reliable rescuer.
Photo-etched parts suit the fine features of the interior and the exterior that plastic cannot be shaped thin enough for. Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a surface, bend them in a bending tool and bond them with super glue; any color areas should be applied to a degreased surface.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a model of its own. It calls for a matching base kit, which is not included in the package.
