1:48 Westland Lysander Mk.III LööK is an Eduard add-on set with a resin instrument panel and seat belts for a model of the British aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory.

The set belongs to the LööK range, which Eduard built on a simple idea: give the modeler a finished resin instrument panel with a color finish and ready-made seat belts to go with it, so that there is no photo-etched sheet to assemble and paint. The difference from the same maker's other ranges is substantial. A full photo-etched set is metal, extensive and time-consuming. Zoom is a narrowed selection from one. Masks are self-adhesive templates for masking glazing and wheels. A combined set brings several partial sets together in one package. Of them all, LööK is the quickest way to lift the standard of a cockpit, and it is an accessory, not a model.
The Westland Lysander was a British high-wing aircraft with fixed landing gear, designed for cooperation with ground forces, that is for observation and liaison. Its technical peculiarity was the flaps and the leading-edge slats, which gave it an exceptionally short takeoff and landing. That is precisely why, in the later part of the war, it was also used for landing on unprepared ground. The cockpit of the type is very well glazed, so the interior is unmissable on a finished model and work on the panel pays off.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water, otherwise mold release agent stays on them and the paint will not hold. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw and level the bottom of the panel on abrasive paper on a flat surface. The original plastic panel from the kit will most likely have to be sanded away; dry-fit the assembly first. It is glued with cyanoacrylate. The color surface of the panel is not repainted, only fixed with a flat clear coat at the end. On a heavily glazed cockpit, pay attention to keeping the belts from staying flat and bend them over a rounded object.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a stand-alone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
