The set replaces the crew seats inside this British Sea King naval helicopter. Aires is a Czech maker of resin accessories that has long focused on interior equipment and castings with fine detail. It is not a kit of the machine but parts for a model under construction.
The Westland Sea King is the British license-built form of an American machine, adapted to home powerplants and equipment. The HAS.1 version was the first anti-submarine form, the HAS.5 brought more modern search equipment and the HU.5 served for transport and rescue tasks. It is precisely on rescue machines that the doors tend to be open and the inside is clearly visible, so the detail of the seats shows to the full.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water so that the remains of mold release agent disappear, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc and level the surface; sand with respiratory protection. Resin parts are joined with cyanoacrylate glue; ordinary plastic cement has no effect on them. Dry-fit the position before gluing, because cyanoacrylate glue sets fast and corrections are then difficult. A thin coat of primer will strengthen the base under the paint.
